Car, XL or motorcycle. Cash or a funded Wallet. Choose before requesting; XL generally costs more.
Agree on your fare
Review offers. Each side has up to three fare proposals per negotiation. Accept when the price suits you.
Meet, travel & rate
Use chat to clarify pickup. Check the rider, vehicle and plate before boarding. Pay with your selected method.
Apply & get approved
Register your vehicle category, licence and required documents. Complete any requests from the Waka team.
Choose suitable requests
Set your availability and location. Review the route, fare and passenger’s payment preference before accepting.
Keep the trip moving
Agree the fare, coordinate pickup and update arrival, pickup and completion. Only message when safely stopped.
Understand your earnings
Review completed fares, recorded Waka fees and the amount after those fees. Fuel and other costs remain separate.
Check the current trial, subscription or commission terms in your account. A displayed fare is not a guarantee of net earnings or wallet payout.

Cash is an option. If you prefer Wallet, make sure your confirmed balance covers your ride. Both passengers and riders can follow their transfer reports in their account.

Send your transfer
Use the MTN MoMo or Orange Money instructions in your account. Verify the recipient before paying. Never share your PIN.

Report the correct purpose
Enter the actual amount, sender and transaction reference. Choose Passenger wallet, Rider commission wallet or the appropriate subscription.

Wait for confirmed credit
Pending means under review. Check the decision, feedback and updated balance or subscription coverage before relying on it.

Will a rider always be available?
Offers depend on eligible riders nearby. Location updates require GPS and connectivity; an estimate is not a guaranteed arrival time.
Can I use the website without downloading?
Yes. Create an account or sign in from the Passenger or Rider website. Use the same platform tools from your browser.
What should I check before boarding?
Meet in a visible, safe place. Match the rider, vehicle model, colour and plate to your trip. Confirm the already-agreed fare and selected payment method. Use Support for concerns.
Where are the other Waka services?
Open the menu for travel, stays and other services. Availability and eligibility depend on the service and location.
